Thankful
Like Laura from Heavenly Homemakers I too am thankful for yet another wonderful school year. My clan is finishing up this week for a nice well deserved summer. Although we're not quite finished with our science study we will be finishing that throughout the summer. Thanks okay though because my kids LOVE science!
Here is a link to some GREAT homeschool studies. We love using them!
So what are you thankful for today?

Big Day
Well today I think I've done it all. LOL Not really my wonderful husband helped SO MUCH! This morning we woke up to have whole wheat pancakes with muscadine syrup (which was suppose to be jelly).
Let me explain. I have made muscadine jelly and it worked. But I had another batch of muscadines that I was going to prepare as jelly too, but I thought that it called for too much sugar...well my advice....
follow the recipe to a T.
Because now instead of jelly I have syrup. :)
But my kids didn't seem to mind. They thought it was great. I prefer sograum anyways.
Well as promised I made muscadine jelly and also canned some pears from a great uncle.
And today I've spent homeschooling my kids and canning. We had 4 tomato plants left with a lot of little green tomatoes on it and I figured before they could rippen it would probably freeze and ruin them. So we've canned them. Below is a picture of Spicy Pickled Green Tomatoes. We haven't tried them yet of course. We just made them today. In fact as I write my post I can here the sealing pop of them. That is such a sweet sound. :)
I can't wait till next year. I hope to be canning a LOT more. Till then...Happy Canning!
